Book opening effect

Trying to create a "book opening" transition.
The nearest I can get is using the squeeze transition left to right with no squeeze previous image. But this gives a book closing effect! If you play the timeline backwards then this is the effect I want to achieve.
Is there any way (like in Prem) of reversing the effect?

Mel.

You could try using the Transition Envelope.

I use vegas 4, but have a demo version of 5 which has transition envelopes.

Have tried to reverse this effect and it works to some extent - just that the first image shows before the transition, then it changes to the second image at the start of the transition, does the reversing ok but then changes to the second image after the transition!

Not really the right thing - may have to resort to Prem to get this one right (see my post on "too many editors").

Thanks - Mel.

why can't you jsut squeeze right to left instead? It's the opposite of the left/right one.

No, that would put the book "hinge" on the RHS - should be chinese instead!

If you have V5, render the clip forward. Drop the rendered clip on the timeline, right click and "reverse." Darryl
