Although I'm only 100 pages into it, I think that "Nonlinear Editing-Storytelling, Aesthetics, and Craft" by Bryce Button is shaping up to be a must read book.

Mr. Button provides a lot of level-headed wisdom and good advice that anyone in this forum could benefit from, including the developement team in Madison.
