Books on audio for video

I’m looking for good books on audio for video post production. Do you have any recommendations?

(I’m especially interested in the functioning of the audio effects / tools / plug-ins in Vegas and Sound Forge; but I’m also interested in information covering the main functions / effects in Izotope Ozone.)

Searching Amazon co.uk I found – amongst others – these books:

Hilary Wyatt, Tim Amyes (2004): Audio Post Production for Television and Film: An Introduction to Technology and Techniques.

Jay Rose (2002): Audio Post Production for Digital Video.

Jay Rose (2002): Producing Great Sound for Digital Video

Tim Amyes (1999): Audio Post-production in Video and Film.

Do you have any recommendations or alternatives?

Jay Rose' book is very good, even if a tad dated. Tim Aymes book is good. Instant Audio is one you might wanna look at, but doesn't ship for another 2 weeks. But it's available in Spanish, too. :-)

Thanks Spot

Which one of the books by Rose would you recommend? Are you referring to Tim Amyes’ 1999 book? And of course, I’ll buy your new book on digital audio! (But I think I stick to the English version.)

Best wishes,
Joran

I have both of the Jay Rose books. Audio Post is good.
Great Sound covers less audio post information, and a bit more of location sound.

Haven't read the other books on the list.

Then I’ll buy the book you recommend.
