Boom-boom effect: script somewhere?

FuTz wrote on 11/30/2005, 7:37 AM
Hi, I'd like to know if there is any script allowing us to put markers on the timeline so that the image gets "boomed" (is a little zoomed in and out rapidly) on each of these markers.
I basically want to achieve this "boom-boom" effect we see sometimes in music video clips.
Hope it exists, otherwise I have to do everything manually... ¦-P

You might try Vegas Quake from Vasst.

For a minute there, I thought someone had written a Basil Brush bad joke plug-in for Vegas....

I found that link after research:
http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=300160

And the Quake plugin link mentionned there is no longer active (too bad!).
Plus, I just learned the Track Motion can't be implemented into a script (too bad too!).
I'll check out at Vasst, thanks for pointer!

Edit: downloaded the plugin on Vasst. Now, is there a manual somewhere? I place two markers on t/l but the effect doesn't seem to end at the second marker.
There's a detail I don't get about marking "in" and "out" points... (?)

You have to highlight the area you want affected or cut on each side then highlight in between the cuts.

Basil Brush ! ! ! Arf Arf Arf . . .

Are you talking about the effect of a loudspeaker cone going in and out? That type of rapid movement?

Weeellll . . you could do worse than use the Deform Fx and start off with key frames spread apart then add more in-between and then and then . . use a velo envel to speed it up OR ctrl squish the event. There is much I would do to get this. I like the deform Fx 'cos that is close to the loudspeaker Boom Boom . . yeah?
