Try doing the border using Glow in the Track Motion.

On the border FX screen, look at the word "Border" to the left of the keyframe timeline. Now look to the left of that and you will see a small triangle. Click it.

I explain this feature in the latest issue of my newsletters

Ed,

Maybe I'm missing it but it seems like this doesn't work for a crop. It does work for a zoom, as you describe in the newsletter.

Hmm... I can zoom out or I can zoom in and the triangle toggles between the pan/cropped size and the full screen either way. Perhaps I'm not understanding what he's trying to do but it seems to work just fine here.

It's not a zoom but a crop. As I said. I may be missing something but I couldn't apply a border around the cropped area, pre or post. But it's not really surprising since border goes around the outside of media. Crop doesn't actually change the media bounds so the border point still would be out at the edges.

If "stretch to fit" is yes, it works. If it is no, it doesn't. I apparently had it set to yes the first time.

Thanks, I have been trying to solve this for some time. As usual jetdv has the answer.
