I received a free program download of Boris FX Sapphire Render Unit with my purchase of Vegas Pro 18. During installation it asks for an activation key which is not the Serial number provided by Magix. Does anyone have info about this?
Except the few you got with VP18 the others you have to buy at Boris.
Sorry - maybe I didn't explain that clearly. I can't activate the Sapphire Render Unit because I'm missing the activation key. Magix provided a serial number, but that isn't what the installer is looking for. Thoughts?
At installing those there you get only the ones trough the serial you got from Magix.
Probably you did not see or forgot at the end of the installation to delete all the ones for which you have no activation key.
You are able to do this good by installaing again and before ending the installtion select to delete all those without a licence.

Good morning! My mistake; the serial number is four sets of four digits separated by hyphens (or dashes). I wasn't typing the hyphen (I thought it would fill that in automatically) so it was "stuck" until I did that. You have to manually enter the hyphen as well. All good now.
But, you said you didn't have the activation key. I am still in a quandry because I do not have the code, nor any emails, even though my product is registered in my magix account.
@Gar He did not say he didn't have the activating key, the problem was that when he entered it, it was not going thru...... Anyway, it was sorted by entering the hyphens along with the digits..... Was it the same free program download you received?
