Boris Red is VERY powerful and it takes practice...just like Vegas 3 did! Here's the key-Boris Red FINALLY got some good DVD training materials.
Class On Demand offers one: http://www.classondemand.net/ClassOnDemand/Public/product.aspx?Product.formState=2&Product.ProductSelected=127
It's good...In a half hour I was making extruded 3D logos from JPEGS. In another hour I was rotoscoping a skateboard out from under a guy going down the street. Way cool.

BorisFX has a very thorough DVD, too. Check it out at
http://www.borisfx.com/training/dvd/dvdtrain.php
Yesterday I made a 3d cube with VegasVision vids on each side that revolved and then the sides opened up and exited the screen.
Also made the Universal Studioes planet with MY logo flying around it. Fun stuff here.
Use Boris as a stand alone...it's easier to use and renders faster that way. There's a forum for Boris on the COW, too. It would be good to get more participation there.

There's a very active Boris forum on the DMN as well. The Intelligent Assistant for Boris is worth having, it's a powerful training tool. Boris themselves has a great training program, we're doing a VASST tour for them later in the year with one of their very well known user/trainers.
Boris has a steep learning curve, but it's also one of the most powerful tools out there. Wait'll you see what they've got going next!
Beyond that, Boris himself is a video geek, and most of the people that work there are videogeeks too, so they've got a great grip on what's going on. Tim and the sales/marketing crew are working overtime to be sure people have options to learn what can be done with all of the Boris products.

Do they have a London Office? I'd really like to "see" somebody operate BG3 - just for 2 hours . . that'll really neat for me.

Best regards

I had a bit of a struggle with quality - I was using Full/high on quality/preview settings, but I have mostly worked through them.

I am beginning to like the capacities of the program - but if they could simply bring the active window to the top - it would make a big difference in their interface.
