Break into CLips

Okay, I'm brand new to this. I'm trying to get Vegas to break a pieice of video into clips automatically. Is there a function to do that? If anyone could let me know, I'd really appreciate it. (Please be specific...I'm really a novice.)

If you want to break into clips at points where you started and stopped your video camera, and if you are using a DV or Digital8 camera, you can simply ask Vegas to do "scene detection" when you capture.

Beyond having "Scene Detection" turned on in Vegas Vidcap, make sure the Date/Time is set in the camera.

My problems is that it has already been captured. I want it to do it off of video already on the hard drive? Any ideas?

Scenalyzer can scan the footage post capture, and make scene breaks based on sudden shifts in luma/chroma value, I'm not sure if it will scan for T/C breaks post capture.
