breaking down clips from camera

Hello,

I just moved from Studio 9 (which is a GREAT program, but crashes way to much) to Movie Studio...

In studio 9 when you copy footage from your digital video camera it splits the clips according to time frames... so each time you hit pause/record it creates a new clip... love that feature...

Is there anyway Movie Studio can do that, or does it only capture the whole tape footage into one file?

Hello,
There's an option for Scene detection. - At video Capture, go to - options - preferences - capture tab. make sure your 'enable scene detection' is checked (usually is) and you can also specify your min. clip length.
