First of all try monitoring off NTSC if you're not already. Anything with red looks radically different on the VGA monitors vs a regular TV.

Having said that anything with red is a crapshoot. Just go with something close and pray for the best.

You've picked a tricky colour to replicate in video land.

You're going about it the wrong way it seems.

Go to Media Generator tab, solid color, pick white. In the Color sliders set R 255 G 70 B 127 A 255. If not exactly what you want play with the sliders a bit. Once you get close NOW drop in the Color Corrector filter. Move the mid and high wheels to get what you want while adjusting Gamma and Gain. Took me longer to write this.

It turn out to be EXACTLY what i wanted. Learn a few things with colours while playing with them , i was going completly the wrong way before

Here's another one ..

SCAN in the colour-way OR swatch you like. Save as a PNG bring onto T/L, use the eyedropper to sample the colour .. voila! The colour numbers appear; the sample appears; you can copy and paste this anywhere yer want it!
