bringing stills into your project - 1 frame each

how do i drag stills into my project and make them automatically cut off at one frame each?

i have a serious of still images that together are animation. right now i have to drag each one in, Split the clip at the frame marker and delete the rest... quiet tedious.

Try the Options menu. I think the Edit tab. You can set the import length for still photos. The default it 5 seconds. Change that to 1/30 second (or whatever the duration of one frame is for your project settings).

Are these a series of stills?
If so, are they sequentially numbered?
If yes to both, try this method.
File - Import.
Browse to the folder that the images are in.
Click the first one, click the "Open still image sequence" box at the bottom of the screen and then click Open.
Vegas will automatically load all the files in the sequence and import them as an already-assembled animation ready to be dropped on your timeline.
