Broadcast Wave File Support?

Are there any plans to support BWF (Broadcast Wave File) in Vegas Video 4.0? I want to edit my tracks froma Mackie HDR / MDR / SDR 24/96 transferred over VIA USB. They all need to be time aligned manually now, but I heard that Broadcast Wave Files will timestamp the audio tracks so that they will align perfectly in any audio sequencer that supports this feature. It's all over the mackie sites, and Pro Tools supports it, but I am not giving in to the Pro Tools Tyranny, and I KNOW that Vegas should be able to do this easily. Even a mackie *.prj to *.veg converter would do the trick.

Also importing / exporting from other audio sequencers would be nice, such as cakewalk, Cubase/neuendo, pro tools, cool edit and samplitude.

No support for BWF in Vegas 4. I'm willing to bet an enterprising individual could do something with the scripting, though.

Great, would you be willing to part with the information necessary to implement this as a PLUG-IN?

I didn't say plug-in, I said a script. And the prelimiary scripting API has been posted to the same place you download Vegas 4 from. Personally, I've never written a script for Vegas, so I'm not the one to ask. I just know that if a program read a directory full of Broadcast Wave files, it could "place" each one on the timeline where it needed to go using a script.
