In Vegas 5 manual write this :

Add effects to a media file
Click the Media FX button to add an effect to every occurrence of the selected media file in your project (the source media file is not affected).

Media FX are used for video files only. For more information about adding video effects, click here.

BUT in fact :

I hold Ctrl key and click some video files to add media fx in mediapool .After add FX ,only one file was added FX in media pool .The others in mediapool must be added one bye one .

Is it a bug in media pool add mediaFX ???

I would say no. There are many things that must be done on a single object. However, there IS a script that will add an effect to all items in the media pool. The script is included in the default Vegas 5 installation.

Thank you for reply. But I found there only a JS "Add Timecode To All Media.js" in Vegas 5 installation .The FX I want add is not TIMECODE ,so the problem is still there.

I jusy puzzled for the adding FX in media pool was not as same as it was said in Vegas manual.

The title "BUG in Add FX to multi-media files in media pool?" ought to be "BUG in ADD to multi (media files) in media pool ?"

CHANGE the script so that, instead of adding "Timecode", it adds the effect you want. There's just a couple of lines to change: one that has the name of the effect and another one that has the name of the preset to use.
