Bug or a default change needed in auto cross fades.

darr wrote on 12/8/2000, 9:47 AM
I have noticed that when I take a file and make a splice
cut;S key,I sometimes hear a glitch like you would hear if
zero crossing was not met.I can do this with just picking
any file and cutting it.The cross fades are supposed to
allow no audible glitches from zero crossing.
Any clues to this behavior???
Default by the way is 10ms.
Thanx.

David, My autocrossfade is set to 0mS and I have never ran
into this problem using the "S"/Split command.

Possibly you could try On track's " Fix it 2000 " and mess
with the registry after making a backup of the current one,
and unload all of them and start over , while being able to
get back the original install, but that sounds kinda
scary....

what all plug ins do you have? some of the amulet VST
adapter versions dont work so well with vegas either

Yes I may use LifeSaver to do what you suggest re the registry. Would definitiely be nicer to be able to
just disable/re-enable them one at a time by clicking a checkbox.

Re Plug-ins, I have the following: Waves Native Powerpack, Sonic Timeworks CompressorX and 4080L
reverb, the Ultrafunk set, the db-audio set, the DSP/FX set, the PSP set (VST using the current version
of the amulet VST adapter) and a bunch of other VST stuff, some Arboretum stuff, ProSonic Mixciter,
AIPL spincycle and Warmtone, AutoTune and Mic Modeler, Revalver, some analogX stuff, RBC Voice
Tweaker and all the Sound Forge stuff.

Thanks Aaron. I listed all my plug-ins earlier today but this forum is posting replies in various wrong
placers (like other messages nothing to do with the subject).

using ontrack's fix it 2000 you can pull the files from
your registry, but that would be tricky...they do let you
save the original so that would work....best bet is to list
all the plugs that you do use....we can all see if we had
trouble with them....the Antares problem for me is that its
related to the autotune is a mono only process while vegas
treats all tracks as stereo...

Try pulling out all your plugs thats all I can think...but
then you will loose the settings in ALL programs...that
sucks...I would HATE to have to resample all my drumagog
stuff....oh, one clue!!!

The amulet and spin series plugins make lots of problems in
vegas...if you have any of those, install them last

I keep trying to reply to this, but my post keeps
disappearing ... ugh

do you have amulet VST adaptor installed?
Angus_FXpansion wrote on 12/12/2000, 8:25 AM
And of course, make sure you have the latest version!

Amulet VST Adapter Standard Edition is currently at 2.1; if
you have an older version such as 1.x, 2.0 or 2.01, please
email support@fxpansion.com for your free update. v2.0 in
particular has some known problems with Vegas and Acid.
