[Bug] Time-based Audio FX not syncing properly

Hello VEGAS Community. Recently I have noticed that certain audio effects do not sync with the timeline correctly.

Built-in effects such as Simple Delay and Amplitude Modulation use the correct tempo, but their starting point is always different on preview. Rendering the audio starts the effect as if at the beginning of the timeline regardless of the actual starting point. VST packs like CoreFX, specifically Volume Former, don't use the correct tempo and default to 120 BPM, still showing the same behavior from before.

I am using VEGAS Pro 21.0 (Build 208) on Windows 11. I can share other system info if needed.

Hello,

It seems you’re encountering a known issue with VEGAS Pro 21.0 where audio effects are not syncing properly with the timeline. This can be particularly frustrating when working with precise audio editing. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Check for Updates: Ensure that you have the latest updates for VEGAS Pro. Sometimes, syncing issues are resolved in newer builds or patches.

MediaInfo Report: Consider generating a MediaInfo report of your media. This can help identify any inconsistencies or issues with the file that may be causing the problem.

Project Settings: Review your project settings, especially the interlaced vs progressive settings, to ensure they match your media’s properties.

HEVC Decoding: If you’re using HEVC video, try toggling the “Enable experimental HEVC decoding” setting and see if that makes a difference.

VST Tempo: For VSTs defaulting to 120 BPM, check if there’s an option within the VST settings to manually set the tempo to match your project’s tempo.

I hope the information may helps you.
