[Bug] Track Mute Envelope inverted with Audio Mute

Ciao,

on Vegas Pro 8.0c seems to be a little bug.

If you go to INSERT | AUDIO ENVELOPES | MUTE Vegas will turn on the VIDEO TRACK MUTE envelope, then if you go to INSERT | VIDEO ENVELOPES | TRACK MUTE Vegas will turn on the AUDIO MUTE envelope.

Can someone reproduce this bug?

Nope.

From either the Track Header OR the Toolbar I get this:-

INSERT | AUDIO ENVELOPES | MUTE Vegas will turn on the AUDIO TRACK MUTE envelope

INSERT | VIDEO ENVELOPES | TRACK MUTE Vegas will turn on the VIDEO MUTE envelope.

So, I get the correct and opposite of what you are experiencing.

ok, if I select only a track (audio or video) selecting MUTE or TRACK MUTE turn on the Mute Envelope and this may be normal (MUTE or TRACK MUTE have the same effect on audio or video).

But if I select both audio and video MUTE and TRACK MUTE seems to not work well and this, maybe, depends by the fact the is the same function but with different name.

Selecting Audio and Video Tracks and using EITHER Mute Track OR Mute ends up with muting BOTH Audio and Video. What's wrong with that?

Well, I missed some words.

If you select just one track (Audio or Video) and then you select both Audio and Video Events, you will have:

. Selecting Video Track and both audio/video events, TRACK MUTE and MUTE will turn on Mute envelope on video track

. Selection Audio Track and both audio/video events, TRACK MUTE and MUTE will turn on Mute envelope on audio track

I know that the right way is selecting track and then Track Mute or Mute depending if track is an audio or video track.
But if you select first the track (for ex. during other operations) and then you focus on events, having both MUTE and TRACK MUTE selectable can confuse user.

I think that the right way is Vegas to consider selected track and also the last selected event, in this way if you select Video Track and then both audio and video events, Vegas must show only Video Envelopes.

I hope that I've explained well what I mean.
