Bonjour

Hello

I have a problem I don't understand, for a short time my software crashes when I put too many video files while a few weeks ago it was working very well and the computer has not changed. I was on Vegas 19 and I had the crashes, I installed Vegas 20 and I still have the crashes, so it must come from my pc while it was working very well before.

The first video uses the Nvidia graphics card:

And the second uses the AMD dedicated graphics card:

The result is the same, I managed to copy this report of the problem:

ASUS rog stric scar 17 G733QS:

AMD ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics
Nvidia RTX3080 16gb
64GB DDR4 3200Mhz
Windows 11

The games run very well on the PC, only Vegas crashes all the time.

I hope someone will have a solution, sorry to write in French but I'm really not good in English.

Thanks

@Davidmp5Fr Hi, check your GPU driver is up to date, Studio driver is recommended for Vegas, Geforce Experience can help with that, it also has a simple screen recording option Alt+F9 👍

Hello, Thank you for your answer. I'm already using the studios drivers, and I'm not using the nvidia overlay interface.

I don't undersand :(

@Davidmp5Fr Ok, If you're using the latest Studio driver then fine, re-installing drivers sometimes helps, they can get broken just like any software 👍

This screen capture is poor,

i suggested Geforce Experience Alt+F9 to get a better view of what's going on on screen with Vegas.

Have you tried loading each file individually? it could be just one broken file that's causing the crash, or maybe it's the type of file you're trying to load. -

There's a tool called MediaInfo, download it, it's quick & free https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo
After downloading, right click on the media in your Windows folder, open MediaInfo, choose Text from the View option, select all, copy & paste in a comment here,

These are dashcam video files, Individually or if there are not too many it works.

Recording with nvidia overlay crash when vegas crash.

But it's the same problem when the rtx3080 is off and the computer is running on the processor only

The mediainfo gives that:

What if you go into Preferences to the File I/O tab and turn off the "Legacy HEVC decoding" option?

OMG I think it's working 😱😱 THX

Reyfox wrote on 8/19/2022, 6:37 AM

If it's working, how about marking @jetdv post as the solution?

Davidmp5Fr wrote on 8/19/2022, 8:23 AM

Yes it's ok, I tried with some more files and vegas doesn't crash anymore, thank you very much
