I loaded 486 and started a project. Digitizing HDV went fine. Then I started working. About 30 minutes into the timeline I tried to save a still and Vegas crashed. Then I tried to pull some more files from my media bin to the timeline and Vegas gave me the white screen of death. Then it started crashing eveytime I tried to look at files in my media bin. Vegas was completely unusable. I had to delete Vegas 12 from my hard drive, and reload Version 394 (which always worked perfectly). Then I was able to finish my project with no problems. I am wondering if something became corrupt when I was downloading the update, as I don't see anybody else having problems with build 486. Anyone out there have any similar experiences like mine? Any thoughts on why 486 seems to work for everyone except me? I mean I am happy with 394, but I think it is wierd that Sony offers an update & when I load it my editor is destroyed.
