Hi,

I have put been putting together some photo montages of recent family event and I always find that the JPGs produced by my DSC are not as sharp as i would like them, so I apply the sharpen filter and it make a noticeable improvement. Now I have 50 pix from this latest family event. and I dont want to click and add 50 sharpen fx's. is there a quick way to do it.

Hi Jaime. Here are a couple of suggestions (I am sure Vegas has other ways too)-

1. Apply the FX to a track, then all the clips on that track will have it.

2. With all the clips on the timeline, apply the FX to one clip. Copy that clip, then select all clips. Paste the attributes of the first clip to all the selected clips.

Here's how I'd do it: Create a preset for the sharpen value you want (say .15), and save that preset. Select all the video events you want to apply this effect onto, then drag the sharpen preset from the effects thumbnail view to any of the selected events and all the rest of the selected events will have that preset added. Tweak individual events as needed.

I like your item 2. But, how do I paste attributes??

Looks like I goofed. In my post a few minutes ago (7:51:46 PM), I referred to item 2. I should have noted that this item appears in jaegersing's post of 12/2/2003.

Sorry for the oversight. But, the question remains: "How do I paste attributes??"

Right click on an event pan/crop icon to copy and paste attributes.

Craig,
Thanks for you respsonse.

I tried it, but it doesn't work.

I'm using VV LE 3.0. Could it be that the LE version doesn't support this function?

Vegas 3 (whether standard or LE) did NOT support this function.

In your case, it would probably be best to just place it on the track header. This will affect everything on the track.

Thanks, jetdv, for your post.

I'll probably do some shopping for v.4.0.

In the meantime, I'll just bumble along, repetitively adding identical fx to long series of events.
