Bulk render multiple projects with a script, will this work?

Is there a way to have Vegas render regions from multiple projects without having to come back when one project is finished and load into a new one?

I currently have a lot of content that is ready to be rendered out, around 7 hours across 4 separate projects. Each project would be using the same resolution and the same encoder settings. I currently use a modified version of "batch render regions" to render out the projects and use the region name as the title of the file.

If I bring the timelines of those projects into a new timeline in Vegas, I see that all of the markers and regions I have setup are there on the sub-timeline but are not on the timeline of the blank project that I have them loaded into. If I use my script, will it still pick up on the regions in the sub-timeline or does it need the regions to be on the timeline in the project that they are all loaded into?

I have re-read that about 4 times and think that I have it worded correctly but it still sounds like gibberish to me when I say out loud, I hope I am making sense with what I am trying to do.

Yes. You would need to program it to ask for multiple VEG files. Then it can load each VEG file individually, render the regions in that file, then continue with the next file, etc...

Try combining these two tutorials:

If you want to load the project all in one timeline and do it the way you described, you could use the "Promote media markers" script to get them from inside the individual projects out to the new main timeline.
