Bump and Flash effects in Vegas Pro 13.0

Hey everyone, So I've been experimenting with the bumps and flashes effect, synchronizing with the beats, etc. But one thing I found challenging was that I could not splice up the video clips to add slow motion areas where needed.

Ideally I wanted to slow down the video every time he was faced with an enemy, so that it captured the shot. Then resume to normal speed.

For the Flash effect, dragging a Bump map (Upper Right Glow) Video FX to the video clip covers the entire clip and when I spliced where I wanted to slow down we lose the Video FX clip and Key frames for the entire clip.

Do you really have to apply the Video FX / Set Key frames to each individual spliced clip? That seems like a ton of work.

Was hoping there was an easier way.

Still learning and welcome the feedback.

Do a search for "Velocity Envelope" in the help file.

You can also split it at those points and use the PlayBack rate on that event to adjust the speed (or CTRL-drag to resize it which will slow it down if you make it longer.)

Splitting an event should not lose any VideoFX. But you could always on the track instead of the event.
