Burnin' Hot Question!!!!...

One of the greatest abilities I've noticed with other sound programs like "Sound Edit 16" is the ability to adjust the speed of your tracks.. I can't find any way to do this on Vegas Video.. (For instance.. I have a song sang by two different artists.. I'd like to make it a Duet, but the songs are two different speeds!) Does anyone know how to fix that or adjust the track??

Page 137 - 138 of the manual explains how to lengthen or shorten an audio track, although I'm not sure if it can do this without pitch shifting. I haven't tried it myself.

You can use the "Stretch event" thingy; hold down the Ctrl key and pull
the right edge of the event out to slow it down or push it in to speed it
up. The default behavior for audio is to keep the pitch the same and
time expand or compress. You can alter this in the event properties to
have it also change the pitch as well. If the two recordings you have are
already in the same key, the you will probably want to use the default
and preserve the pitch.

Keep in mind that if you stretch or compress too much it will start doing
rather strange and bizarre things to the sound. Probably 10 or 20% is
about as far as you can usefully go.
