Burning a DVD Image file to the hard drive

Nero provides the ability to burn a “DVD Image” to one’s hard drive. The physical DVD disk may then be burned from the DVD Image file at a later time. The image file provides a handy way to produce additional duplicate disks later on, and can serve as a archival file.

Does DVD Architect provide a comparable utility? If so, how?

Yes, it's called the Prepare folder. It's not an image of the DVD, but it does contain all of the files that DVDA will be burning to the DVD.

Additionally, in DVDA3 at least, you can write an image file to the hard drive. Do "Make DVD", "burn", and in the select burn parameters choose "ISO image writer" as the device. You can specify the file name. This creates a .iso image file.
