After completion of Rendering,Preparation and Burning A Blu-ray disc I receive an error message saying"the write failed because the drive returned error information that could not be recovered from".What does that mean?
This is what I did. First I pressed the make a blu-ray disc tab and then I pressed the Prepare button. After the Render and Prepare completed, I pressed the Burn button. After burning the disc it ejected and the same error message appeared on the screen. If I did this correctly, do you have any other suggestions?
If you did, then the program did it's job -- there's just some problem interfacing with your disc burner.
If that's the case, you may want to try downloading the free program ImgBurn and using it to burn your Prepared File (iso) to your disc, just to see if that works. ImgBurn is a superior disc burner in a number of ways, and many people prefer this workflow.
Another imgburn fan here (although I have not used it for BD). Another advantage to the "create an ISO then burn with Imgburn" route is you now have an ISO of the disk and can create additional identical copies of the disk later if you want. Besides, as Steve indicates, you are breaking the disk creation down into two parts - render then burn which allows you to see which part is failing. NOTE: an often overlooked feature of Imgburn is that you can create an ISO from a disk you have already burned so you have it for later if you want it..
Success!!! Thank you very much for your help Steve.Recently, I purchased Movie Studio Platinum 12 and the paperback guides you wrote.Looking forward to learning more about Vegas.
