Burning Bluray

wiel-gulpen wrote on 7/30/2023, 3:17 PM

I still burn Bluray with Vegas Pro 18. Yes. My workflow is always render an image first, then checking it for the last time and then burning. Now I can only make an image; not burning a early compiled image.I never had this before. Someone a solution?

Seems that your BD-drive is not recognized. No BD-drive, no burning.

Hi Theo,

I never had this before.

Strange behaviour is also that I cannot delete (with Explorer) the stored image in a directory. Windows says then the file is occupied bij 'System'. See the picture (in Dutch). Other possibilties than not recognizing the BR-burner?

I further did a test with an old version of PS 22.

An image from the holiday in 2019 in Austria can be burned with this NLE. It is burning this very moment!

The problem is (at first sight) , as Theo says, the Vegas Pro does not recognize (anymore) my Bluray burner.

The Bluray burner itself seems not to be the problem. It works (with some other NLE). It's Vegas Pro who makes the problem I think.

An I tested the fresh burned Bluray in the livingroom on the Sony BR-player and it works fine.

Theo,

I did some further investigation.

Every time I click the image created bij Vegas Pro, it creates a new volumes (L: and M:).

Weird! I never had this before.

I investigated further and further and I find a solution.

1. Uncheck 'Skip drive database'

and

2. Check 'Use legacy disk drives'.'

See picture.

Now I have the option back to burn from within Vegas Pro and I can delete the new volume (with were 'owned' bij the System'.

3. Tomorrow I try burning. Now going for a sleep!

Today I tested the BR and it was perfect. So, what I wrote yesterday to solve the problem was the solution!
