Burning CDs - Problem with CD-Rom Drive

I'm trying to create an Audio CD with Vegas. When trying to burn it (either TAO or DAO) I get a message telling me that "the data provided is too large to fit on the available disk space". The time needed is 87 min and 15 sec and Vegas tells me I only have 11 min 1 sec. I use a brand new CD (800Mb - 90min) right out of the bag. I tried with other CDs from the pack with the same problem. Am I supposed to use only 740Mb CDs?
By the way, I checked my CDs with Ahead Nero Burning with no warning about the free space on these new CDs.
Anyone knows about this problem?

I'd bet that Vegas is having problems with the CD's having too much space on them. Most older burners and the programs to burn with only know that CD's are either 650MB or 700MB, if you stick a 800MB CD in there it is probably confusing either the drive or the software. I would first check to see if there is a firmware update for your burner that will allow it to recognize 800MB discs. IF there isn't,then you might have to look into getting a new burner, or just switch to 700MB Cd's.

800MB Cd's are a fairly new thing, and most places you can buy them from should have a warning that a lot of the older drives will have a problem burning to them.

Thanks for your answer to my problem. If anyone is interrested with this topic, I think that the problem has to be a software problem since I don't have any problem with these 800Mb CDs neither with my burning program (Ahead Nero Burning) nor with my hardware (my CD-Drive).
Is Sonic Foundry having a look at this Forum? Any answer to the suggestion formulated by Jsnkc?
Thanks again

Well, if the Cd's burn fine and your other programs have no problem recognising them as 800MB Cd's then I would have to assume as well that it is a possible bug in Vegas.
