Burning DVD

It seems that DVD Arch. has developed a problem on my machine. When I try to burn a DVD it gets to the last page ad then does not find the burner.

I have reinstalled the program and still the same thing.

Does anyone have a suggestion.

Burn in Nero

How is the burner connected -- iIDE, USB, Firewire?

Brand and type of DVD?

Kanst's got the standard answer and probably the right one, but the above information may help us find another one.
