burning dvd problem

For some reason I am not able to burn dvds anymore. I keep getting this error:

The write failed because the drive returned error information that could not be recovered from.

AMD RAIDXpert
Task 0 timeout on disk (Port Number 3, Target ID 1) at LBA 0xe0042a (Length 0x0)

Are you able to create Prepared Files to your hard drive? (This will tell you if the problem is with the software or with the drive itself.)
