Burning DVD-ROM vs. DVD-Video ?

I've read issue and replies below.
So, I do want to check the differecnes between two ways for burning DVD.
1. Authoring with DVDA2.0->Prepare and Burn with DVDA2.0
--->It is maybe DVD-Video Type. Right?
2. Authoring with DVDA2.0->Just Prepare DVDA2.0->Burn with Nero 6
-----> DVD-Video Burning
3. Authoring with DVDA2.0->Prepare DVDA2.0->Burn with Nero 6
----->DVD-ROM Burning

Which is highly compatible with DVD Player or stable?
Does anyone compare with these 3 ways?

And when i chosse No.3 way, just I should drag Audio_TS and Video_TS folder to left side? if so, it will work like DVD-Video option? I mean play automatically in DVD Player.

I thought DVD-ROM in Nero is just for DATA Backup.

Please tell me what I'm confused right now.

Thanks in advance~

When I want to include extra files on a DVD, I prepare with DVDA then burn using Record Now DX, a similar type of program to Nero.

One difference is that with Record Now DX, there are no special options as there are with Nero such as ISO etc, so I have always just burnt them as data discs, and have had no problems with playback on set top players or PCs...........yet.

I have used Nero for a few years, love it, and as far as I know, DVD ROM is for backup, you can't watch in DVD player. When starting new project in Nero(for menu based DVD), select DVD in the drop down, then UDF/ISO (last one in the list), then on the UDF tab, make sure you have the file version system set to 1.02. This creates most compatible for set top DVD as far as I know. Then drag video and audio folders to left side and burn. This will create DVD with menus if there are any. I think I tried to use the Video option once and Nero gave me an error saying that because I had 1 file larger than 4 GB (or something like that) I had to burn using UDF, so thats what I used from that point on. Hope this helps in some small way....

Nero is my choice of DVD burning software and I use the DVD-Video option all the time. It puts two empty directories on the compilation right away, AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. All I do is drag the files into AUDIO_TS and burn away. It gives me perfectly fine DVDs.

I usually use DVD+RW while I'm in testing mode and once I'm satisfied with the result I burn onto DVD+R.

I have tried to use the DVD-data profile once and the disck I made did not play on either my home DVD unit or my DVD burner in my computer. It took me a while to figure out what went wrong, but I soon realized that I had it set to DVD-data not DVD-Video. I have not used DVD-data ever since.

Good information guys~ Thanks a lot~

I'll try to burn with Nero for DVD-ROM(UDF/...).
I need most compatible way to burn DVD video.

So far, I had very difficult time to burn DVDs. If I burn over 2x speed, it always makes problems in DVD set top player. I always burned 1x speed only. It doesn't make any problems in DVD Player.

So I want to raise burning speed which needs highly compatible mode just like DVD-ROM type.

one more thanks~
