Burning Nothing-I am about to loose it!

I am using Vegas Movie studio to put my movies, sound, etc. together and have had good luck with it on several projects. I just completed the first half of my two DVD project and it rendered in Vegas fine, processed and burned in DVd Architect fine. I am now completeing the second half and am sure I am using the same procedures as I did on the first that went fine. I have completed everyting in Vegas, rendered as mpeg, sent to Architect for final processing as a single movie with process and burn command. This part of the project is about 40 minutes long. Architect takes about 15 minutes to "process" (about 2.2 gigs) does it processisng, and the window starts the burn process. It says it is preparing to burn, completes, the line starts up that it is burning, flicks through it in about 1 second, says it is complete. Appears that nothing has been burn't to the DVD. I am thinking it is either a program instruction error or the DVD burner is bum. When I get home tonight (unless someone can tell me what I am doing wrong), I thought I would try a test burn from something else. I stuck a cd in it late last night and it played okay. I am getting so burned out that I am having trouble. Can you give me your advice/instructions, settings, etc. to see if I am doing something wrong. Thanks in advance. Pug

Pug,

Unfortunately dvda burning/burner issues seem to return more than any other subject in this forum. Wish we could see more creative topics, tutorials or tips.

Since you had no problems in the past here's some hopefully usefull tips:

-You can always 'test' the dvda prepared file with software like Powerdvd
-Try Nero or other burning software to burn the dvda prepared file
-Use a dvd rewritable for testing
-Never give up
