There once was an issue with Vegas Video 3 and the Plextor 24/10/40. At one time I think both companies blamed the other, but I've also seen stated that they were working together to solve it. Since then Plextor has released new firmware and Vegas is up to 4c. So I though time was ripe for trying to use Vegas as a CD burning app. (Plextor buyers in Europe get Nero for free, so the need for another app has not been overwhelming. But the simplicity of Vegas' timeline editing tempted me enough to have a go.)
Vegas turned out to be very picky. Wouldn't overburn even the slightest, and refused to accept 2.03 seconds start slack - insisted on 2.00. That's alright, I think. But it burned very slowly, mostly around 5 or 6x.
Question is: Are there still issues between Vegas and that particular Plextor burner? And if yes, then why?
