Used DVD architect for a long time no problem. Recently it has started freezing for a second or two at chapter points when I play on an external player (as my customers will). I am hoping it is my player and not the software or computer! I have reinstalled DVD arch when I got my new PC (Advent with 6GB) and this problem has started. No problem on my old Dell which was knocking on about ten years and terribly slow. I have looked around forums and people are just going on about playlists and changing layers, etc. Well ALL mine are standard discs with just one MPEG2 file on it. I just have a PLAY ALL button and an ACT TWO button. (film dramatic productions. The Act TWO button accesses the same single file only put on the disc once, but the action says start at the chapter point where Act Two begins. It is thatsimple. I have tried burning at 8x instead of 16x and this has I think reduced the prob, but not got rid of it altogether. But 16x was fine on my old machine. More interesting is the fact that it does not happen always at every chapter. Sometimes after it does it, I rewind a few seconds to before, play a second time with no pause! So it is an on/off problem. I have also found it recently started with DVDs I made on ConvertX DVD (a free program) when it was fine before. So we have a brand new PC and DVD writer, but an old BUSH DVD player that shows the problem. But it doesnt do it for bought DVDs. Thanks and sorry if I have not told you anything important. Just ask if you need more info. Oh and they are TDK+R discs same as before.
