If you want to simulate film burning, I would imagine that Pixelan Spice Filters has that effect on it that you can add to your video. You have to buy this software though which costs $99, or $200 for SpiceMaster, which has many more effects.

For spice filters Go to: http://www.pixelan.com/sfilters/details.htm

For Spicemaster go to:

Hope this helps!

...combination of Glow layers (different colors; yellow, orange, white...) and Cache maybe?

Or you can copy the end of "Two Lane Blacktop" and I would bet you wouldn't have to worry about copyrights. We used to do the burning all the time in our 16mm projector---not hard to do and it usually accompanied a lot of screaming and yelling.

If you find a company who owns the old (5 years) an Avid Illusion compositing system...the film burn was a plugin included on the system and fully key framable and easy control of all aspects. I used to own the system and it looked great!

"Two Lane Blacktop".. Long time since I thought of that movie.. JT's one and only foray onto the big screen. I think it's gonna be a blockbuster night!

There is a burnt film filter in Boris RED

Just tried it via the plugin as a video FX and does what is says on the box so to speak.

Hollywood FX had one and is still in my system. However, I use my on my VM system but the old plugin might be useable on others.
