busses w/ a mixtreme card

redcarpetroom wrote on 8/20/2000, 11:22 PM
i hope someone can help me w/ this one.

when i go to prefs then routing using custom, it says

"trk 1-16 out soundscape"

and all my busses are essentially being routed out one buss.

besides the microsoft option, everything else is greyed out.

i have a 16 buss card and i'm only able to use one @ the
moment.

any ideas?

thanx

i figured it out. you just have to tell your computer it's a 2
channel card instead of a 16 channel. what sucks though it that i can
get 8 outs but only 2 ins.

no no no no

Something else is wrong

I have two mixtreme cards, and rest assured, I can get 32 individual
ins and 16 stereo buss outs (32 outs if you deal with the panning
problem, see earlier posts)

Under " options--->preferences" I select " use custom bus routing

then I am able to access all 16 Mixtreme pairs

in the project, you have to go to properties, and tell it you want
however many busses for the project...

as per inputs, when I click on the record button on each track, it
allows me to choose whic input or pair of inputs I want to use

let me know what else is going on

Karl also uses this card, maybe he has the answer, but from my view,
this card is the ONE thing that has NEVER given me trouble, and also
seems to get along with vegas just fine

You should have at least 8 stereo pairs of I/O ... what flavor of
Windows are you using? Not being familiar with anything but a Win2K
installation I am guessing here, but you may have to configure the
MME drivers in Windows Control Panel for multiple channels, so you
might want to look there.

With 2 Mixtremes under Win2k, like Aaron, we have 32 inputs and
outputs.

This sounds like a simple configuration issue, so I am sure that you
will get it worked out. You might want to try the Mixtreme forum,
those guys have answered everyone of my questions, almost before I
asked them.

KAC ....

hey guys thx, i just needed to play around w/ the buss options next
to the record button on the tracks. like anything, it seems super
obvious once you get it down.
