Anyone know why there's a hard limit of 18 for a 16:9 DVD and 36 for a 4:3 DVD?
Thankfully I've only wasted a couple of days getting 25% into this project and did a test author and got a rude shock, not a limit I was prepared for at all. A quick check in the DVDA forum reveals not much about this apart from a suggestion that this is not a DVD spec limit as other apps have different limits. However a quick Google shows this limit is common to at least Encore and iDVD, DVD Lab set it to 18 for both aspect ratios.
From what I can deduce the same limit applies to BD as well. You'd kind of think with more screen real estate they might have relaxed the limit somewhat.
Bob.
