Button does not function on a looped clip

It’s me again (DVDA 5.2). I am using a button to stop a looped clip and return to the main menu. This works fine on most media clips. I am trying to use a similar button on a media clip which does not play from the beginning. What i mean is that the media is looped only in the second half of the clip. In this case the button does not function. I see the text, but by clicking on it nothing happens. Does anyone know why it is so?

When you select the button in the Workspace panel, what Destination is listed in the Button Properties panel?

What Link shows in the Project Overview panel?

thanks for replying to this.

"When you select the button in the Workspace panel, what Destination is listed in the Button Properties panel?"
the name of the menu where i want the user to go to.

"What Link shows in the Project Overview panel?"
the same menu as described above

Unless there's something you're not telling us, I know of no reason this won't work. Sorry.

i solved the problem by taking an alternative route. Rather than doing 'insert media' and proceed as i described above, i did 'insert submenu' and i selected the media clip as background video. then i set the loop points, added the button and it works..why it did not work before is a mystery.

Any solution is a good solution, Salsa! Glad you're up and running again.
