Button Highlight ?

I have an animated background menu with "button text" as part of the animation that fades on, fades off, then loops. The problem is the "Highlights" for the buttons are always "on". As you watch the screen you see the fade on of the animation/buttons but you also see the "Highlight" already on. Is there a way to fade on and off a button "Highlight" so it matches the background animation. The menu will have two buttons that can be selected.
Thanks for any help.

There is not a way that I am aware of, but you can make your menu in vegas with all the appropriate fades, including text, and then go to DVDA and draw a box around the area where the text would be and turn "highlights" off or make them the same color as the background. Or you can try underlines as they are less noticeable and you can always make the color so that it does not stand out as much.
