Button Highlights

i just ran across a strange situation and maybe some of you know what may be wrong.

I created a button set, frame, masks, etc., to use as thumbnail buttons on a scene selection screen. In the DVDA preview window and powerDVD the menus look fine and work as they should. However, on a standalone DVD player, none of the scene buttons show any highlighting - not even the stock arrows. The main screen works fine, its just the scene pages/buttons. I'm using project wide color sets so nothing strange should be happening there.

While it works fine in the preview and in powerDVD, and while one is not that big of a deal, I would just like some info on avoiding some possible compatibility problems across DVD players. Any suggestions as to what may be happening?

Need more info...

Specifically, version and build number of DVD Architect you're using? Be sure you're using the most current update, if applicable.

I've tried it with DVDA 3.0B Build 106 and DVDA 3.0C Build 133.

I have tried changing/removing the masks on the buttons, changing colors, tweaking the color sets, removing the transition video between the main menu and the scene menus. However, none of these make any difference on the stand-alone player. I would post a link to the graphic and mask but I don't think the issue is with those as the generic/stock arrow buttons will not highlight either.

Kinda got me stumped...
