Call Me Picky . .but: Scrolling Fonts Menu? Gone!

When I used S-V4 on my trusty ol' Dell Laptop, I could "sample" fonts for the Text Edit box. I'd have the font name in the drop down box, and just keeping scrolling down with the UP and DOWN arrows. The Blue bar and the font name would appear, and the selection would appear to view. Now I'm on XP Pro - can't say its this - I just get to have one or two arrow presses UP or DOWN and then it knida "locks" up on me. Yes, I can do the Drop Down Menu thing - no problem, but the way I used to operate the font example and selection process is . . . gone!

Am I being picky? I think not.

Regards,

Grazie

I think you'll find that it "locks" only on some fonts, like Courier. If you then select a font below this, you'll be able to continue. It's weird. Definitely an XP problem. Don't know a workaround.

Agree with John - only happens on some fonts like Arial, Courier, Times New Roman... and it also DOES happen on Win2K.
