Calling Sound Guru's.

I've got a clip shot with no mic and the people were to far from the camera. I used Acoustic Mirror(New to Sound Forge) and it helped a lot but I need to get rid of some of the Echo from the room. How would a Newbie like me try to do this??

Video clip ? Pretty tricky to remove reverb successfuly - easy to add....

You could try noise-gating to cut out the lower level reverb, but may end up sounding very unnatural. Any chance of re-doing (over-dubbing) the vocals directly into Vegas ?

The REAL "gurus", when faced with poorly-recorded audio, do something called "looping" which is essentially re-recording the dialogue and matching it with the video. If you're patient and good this will be a very good solution, as it's done all the time in major films. Cheers, D
