camera detection

The program does detect the camara but cannot open it to recieve the video from it. I was using USB to capture video but I had video distortion, now I swichted to iLink, now I have this problem. i dont even know if i solve the first problem yet!!!! Please help!!!

i have a panny gs400 and the manual says i should put it in "PC" position when connected to a computer via 1394. But last night, i HAD to have it in "Play" for MS v4a to download the file. maybe this is something which has changed from v4--not sure, but i thot i had the 400 in PC before and it worked fine....

try some different positions on your camera and see if that works. i personally would use 1394 over USB.
