I am looking for a psd/avi/mov with transparency that looks like the lcd screen of a camera - doesn't really matter what kind. It is for ettect. I am sure that somebody has used something like this...what was it?
why not just get a press-release snapshot of said camera, and paint the lcd a 'unique' colour and then color key it? Portable and easily re-usable then...
There are keyable overlays, most of them I've seen in the paid stock footage sites. I thought there was one on the VASST site as a .veg but couldn't find it. I've created one and uploaded it - quicky job and fairly basic but you can see how it was done and cater to your taste.
aaah but u see u dont need to run full keying filters to do this.. ...
using good ol Powerpoint, u can use your Autoshape tool to create a frame
Before you do this saturate the entire slide in black
Go to yor autoshape tool and select a quare or rectangle and greate a frame.. Now paint it red.
now get your text tool and put a big REC on one of the corners
Now go back to your autoshape tool and create a lil square and put it next to it..
export this as a PNG
Now get rid of the lil square box near yoru record REC and export that as a PNG as well..
In vegas create a new track, go to compositing mode and select add or burn or anyone of these which gets rid of the black and allows the red to become transparent over the origial footage.
Now put your first PNG in for about 15frames(WITH the square) , and then the second for another 15 (without the li square)
Now use your selection tool and highlight, right click, copy, then use the cntrl V (paste) to paste this across for as far as it needs to go.
Voila instant overlay without excessive filtering
If ur feeling adventurours, u can also creat a lil battery icon and if u really wanted to u coudl also throw in an animated GIF of some audio levels. Throw on a timecode filter for some real authentic looks and feels.. lol
I did something awhile back with our family's Sony.
If your camera can take a still and save it on the memory stick
you can use the built in overlay function.
Take a snapshot. Import it into a paint program. Make a blue
rectangle. Save it back to the memory stick.
