can batch capture also do scene detection?

i have a tape that has 3 different events of video. i separated each event with 30 seconds of black recording. i did the log in/out for each of the events and did a batch capture, which worked fine. can i make the batch capture do scene detection? or, is there a way to do scene detection of the single AVI?

With batch capture, you're specifying in/out points for an .avi to be written written file, scene detection bases itself on date/time stamp on the tape from the camera. I haven't really tried what you're asking so not entirely sure but it seems like it may work. Have you batch captured with dv scene detection enabled?

With batch capture, YOU are the scene detector. YOU specify when to start and stop capturing by setting the IN and OUT points.
