Help.........When capturing from my tuner I can hear the sound fine but when I am done with the capture and put on time line there is no sound there....
Are you using the line input of your sound card to get the audio from the tuner? The sound card's mixer has separate inputs and controls for listening and recording. Just because you can hear the sound coming in doesn't mean that is what will be recorded.
Open up your sound card's mixer control panel (double click the little yellow speaker icon), choose Options, Properties, Recording. Select Line In.
I stumbled the same way. On the capture menu, check the source selection in your Audio Capture settings. Make sure that you are capturing from the right place. Some of my options are CD, Line in, Microphone, etc. Depending on which hole I plug into on my soundcard, I need to either select the Line In or Microphone sources.
For some reason, I get an echo during capture when I select the right source. Since it does not happen on playback, I just take that as a sign that I have selected the right source. Rather tolerant of me, isn't it?
The reason you are getting the echo is because you are now listening to both the sound card's input and the output from the capture program, which is slightly delayed. Under Options you may uncheck Preview Audio to get rid of the echo.
