Can I import a picture in PDF format?

I have a cd with a logo on it that needs to be imported into my V5 video. It is in .pdf format and I can't get it to drop into my project.
According to the manual, it does not seem to be a supported media file format, but is there a way to convert it to something useable (and how?) ?

Not directly, no. But if you have Photoshop or other PDF image importer, you can then convert the image to a .png, .tif, .tga, or other importable format.

In photoshop, it's as simple as File/Import/PDF image, browse to the CD/folder where your image is.
