can I insert a VF file into another?

I have my main VF file project and created a detailed scene on a another VF file. Is it possible to merge the 2 or insert the smaller one into the main project file ? when I try to open or import it opens up another window (by itself),,,If I copy, not all tracks/effects are copied over.

any suggestions?

Pretty sure you cannot insert one VF into another, as nifty and wonderful as that would be.

Instead, I suggest having the "child" VF render to a high-quality, uncompressed format, like AVI, then import that AVI into the "master" VF.

Any changes made in the child project will picked up in the master project each time you render. The uncompressed settings will make your intermediate file *massive* but will prevent serious quality loss due to multiple encodings.

For example, I have an introductory logo that I put at the beginning of my clips:
Logo.VF renders to Logo.AVI.

All my other projects contain Logo.AVI at the beginning, and when I change the logo, the other projects pick up the new logo next time they're opened.
