Hello, i want to make a video with one overlay subject (i.e. some person or thing,...) and with picture or movie against a background. For example: I have captured video with moving person (captured in the room, which has white walls) and shot on the table. I would to merge these two shots into one for trick effect.
I tried compositing mode, but it didn't takes any result. Please, send me reply how I can make it. Thanks, DwnLfr.

You'll want to use Chroma Key. Place the video with the plain background in a track above the other video. Add the Chroma Key effect to that track and select the background color as the key color. You will probably have to play around with the settings a bit to get it to eleminate most of the background. Ideally the background should be a solid color evenly illuminated. If there's too much variation in the shading it will be very difficult to key all of it.

If you can't pull a chroma key because it's a white background, you might be able to do some difference matting, as shown in the 'transporter' tutorial. You'll need a still of just the background.
