can I render with cc1 track visible?

Sorry for the weak subject header, not sure how to phrase this. I have a video that contains closed caption info. I can see the cc1 text overlay in preview when I select cc1 as the overlay. I would like to render a file with the titles hard coded. Can't seem to find how to do this. Is it possible in Vegas. Using Vegas 10. thanks.

Vegas can not convert closed captions to open captions. You can export closed captions to subtitles for DVD or use tools that allow you to do it.

Thanks. Do you know, offhand, if vegasaur can import a subtitle file and then place all of the items as text in their proper place, or does one have to do this manually. We're talking about a 2 hour long video with hundreds of events.

Yes, it can import subtitles and generate text events for you. Just select (or create) the appropriate text preset. You can download the plug-in and use it free for 30 days.
