Can I sell my Sony Vegas Pro 8 licence?

I've been a Mac user for 18 months now, and I haven't used Sony Vegas Pro 8 in over a year (I used it briefly via BootCamp). I own both Vegas 6 and Vegas 8 (I upgraded from 6).

Can I legally sell my licence? If I can, how would I go about transferring it to the buyer?

yes, you can sell it. You can use the Sony website to transfer the license. You provide the details of who you are going to transfer it to and that's it. They get a new license.

So there isn't a transfer option, per se - I just change the account details (i.e. replace my details with the new owner's details)?

I assume the serial numbers stay the same?

Yep. There is.
You go to My Support and then click on "ask a question".
Under Category you click on the first selection which is "Activation". When you do that the box will chnage color and you click on the down arrow and select "License Transfers". I have used it three times and it has worked every time.
