I downloaded the Vegas Pro version 20 and tried to use the speech to text feature. But it requires a 365 subscription. How do I try it before I subscribe?

In short, you don't. If you want to post a file here, someone could send it through that feature and show you the results.
A short example made in Vegas365 with a few mouseclicks. First Text to Speech, Original Text is copied/pasted from German Wikipedia, translated with Text to Speech to Dutch (Netherlands) and English (USA). After generating the speech, the generated speech was automatically with Speech to Text converted into subtitles and aligned in the video synchronic with the generated speech. As said, just done with a few mouseclicks.
